Serbia Needs Research
(Local Priorities Research)
While resources for doing good are limited, needs in Serbia are many. EA in Serbia wishes to learn what local needs are and create a prioritisation list among projects currently existing, as well as possible future projects. In EA, this is known as Local Priorities Research (LPR).

Serbia Global Possibilities Research
(Contextualization Research)
Globally, there are many important causes which lack appropriate talent and resources. We want to find out what is the comparative advantage of Serbia in contributing to solving these problems. In EA, this is known as Contextualization Research, as part of Global Priorities Research. In brief, “Contextualization research is research that informs the use of specific resources, seeking to do as much good as possible.” (Freitas, 2023).
In Serbia, it is most likely that our talent, when directed towards solving pressing issues in Global Health, Global Poverty, Animal Welfare, and Existential and Catastrophic Risks, is our advantage. However, we wish to know the landscape of talent, and how it can best be applied to the problems of today.

AI Safety Hub Serbia (AISHS)
AI Safety globally is one of the most important existential risk factors (for more on this, read Holden Karnofsky’s Most Important Century, or our translation of it to Serbian). In Serbia, we have opened an office to support researchers in Serbia (either local or foreign) who wish to work on this problem. If you wish to come to our office and work from there, read our announcement on the EA Forum.
